It has been an appley month, I am slowly working my way down the box outside the back door. This is my second attempt at toffee apples the first being a batch of 20 made for bonfire night. They were very good if a bit chewy and I used up all the old bags of sugar at the back of the cupboard. This batch I used golden caster sugar, golden syrup and a teaspoon of vinegar and they were perfect. What a great way to eat one of your 5 a day !
